"MÉXICO".02 Abstract Mexican Ring by Mogi

MOGI氏との協業によるシルバーコレクションに、今シーズンはリング2型を追加で展開。

 

シーズンテーマでもあるロサンゼルス〜パームスプリングス〜セドナへの道中の景観や自然からインスピレーションを受けた2型を作成。

 

 

元来、アブストラクトなモチーフのメキシカンリングの多くは、水や植物をモチーフに形どられることが多い。
アブストラクトなモチーフが特徴の“MEXICO”の第二弾は、長い年月をかけて水によって削られたアリゾナに広がる地層をモチーフに、
流動的かつ一定の形に留まらない水をモチーフに表現した。

 

 

デザイナー自身がスケッチし、線画に起こした後、ペーパーで完成図をかたどったものをベースに、MOGI氏によってシルバーで原型を作成。
重なる層の厚みや反り返りの絶妙なバランスを、試作を重ね微調整を加えながら作り上げた。

 

 

リングの内側は鏡面仕上げ。表面の重なる箇所には陰影のシャドー（燻し加工）を加え、立体感が出るように仕上げた。
天地を選ばず着用が可能。

The silver collection in collaboration with Mr. MOGI is expanded this season with two additional ring models.Inspired by the season's theme of the road from Los Angeles to Palm Springs to Sedona, the two new designs are inspired by the landscape and nature along the way.Originally, many Mexican rings with abstract motifs are often shaped with water and plants as motifs.The second “MEXICO” series, characterized by abstract motifs, is based on the motif of geological formations in Arizona that have been carved by water over a long period of time. The motif of water is fluid and does not stay in a certain shape.The designer himself sketched and drew line drawings, and then created a prototype in silver by Mr. MOGI based on a completed drawing on paper.The thickness of the overlapping layers and the exquisite balance of the warp were created through repeated prototyping and fine-tuning.The inside of the ring is mirror-finished. Shadows (smoked finish) were added to the overlapping areas on the surface to create a three-dimensional effect.The ring can be worn on any surface.
