"PALMAR" Half Oiled Coated Flight Jacket

今シーズン登場する “PALMAR” は、B-10ジャケットを表裏ひっくり返した仕様をデザインベースに、
MA-1ナイロンとオイルドクロスをコンビネーションで組み合わせた、KYOUが提案するハイブリッドミリタリージャケット。

 

 

古くからあるものを新しい何かに昇華させる。
それはKYOUのクリエーションで大切にしている根幹部分。

 

 

特徴的なオイルドは、裁断パーツの状態でオイルド加工を施し、袖のシームやリブの境目は少し弱くなるようグラデーションで緩急をつけた。
このオイルド加工は、触感はオイリーでありながらも手に残ることはなく、独特の艶感を持つ特殊開発の薬品を使用。

 

 

着こんでいくとレザーライクなエイジングを楽しむことができる。
国内でもこのレベルのオイルド加工技術ができる職人は数少なく、一人の職人が一着一着、手作業で加工を行っている。

 

 

メインに使用しているMA-1ナイロンは、表面に撥水加工を施したヴィンテージをリプロダクトした高密度ナイロンツイル。
66ナイロンというミルスペックでも使用される強度のある原料を使用している。

 

 

中綿入りで保温性もあり、衿のファーは脱着可能な2WAY仕様。

 

 

※この製品には特殊なオイルド・ワックスコーティングを施しております。 職人が1点1点手作業で加工をしている為 仕上がりは商品ごとに異なります。

This season's “PALMAR” is a hybrid military jacket proposed by KYOU, designed by flipping a B-10 jacket inside out and combining MA-1 nylon with oiled cloth.

Elevating the old into something new.
This is the core principle cherished in KYOU's creations.

The distinctive oiled finish is applied to the cut pieces, with a gradient effect softening the transitions at sleeve seams and ribbed edges.
This oiled treatment uses a specially developed chemical that feels oily to the touch without leaving residue, imparting a unique sheen.

Wearing it in allows you to enjoy a leather-like aging process.
Few artisans in Japan possess this level of oiled processing skill; each piece is meticulously finished by hand, one at a time, by a single artisan.

The main fabric is a high-density nylon twill, reproducing vintage MA-1 nylon with a water-repellent surface treatment.
It uses 66 nylon, a strong material also used in military specifications.

It features insulation for warmth, and the collar fur is removable for a 2-way design.
